A chat assistant that only knows your business

Most website chat either routes to a person who is not there, or to a bot that confidently makes things up. Overmountain answers from your own pages, admits when it does not know, and offers a callback instead of guessing.

There is one on this page. Ask it what a setup costs, or something it should not know — it will tell you either way.

01

We read your website

Your service pages, your FAQ, your hours. The assistant answers from that material and nothing else, so it cannot invent a price you do not charge or a service you do not offer.

02

You paste one line

A single script tag before the closing body tag. It works on WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow and hand-written HTML. Nothing else about your site changes.

03

Leads reach you in seconds

When a visitor asks to be contacted, you get an email with their details and the whole conversation, so you already know what they want before you call back.

What the monthly fee buys

Not software access. An assistant left alone gets worse: your site changes, people ask things it was never taught, and the answers drift. The retainer is the work of keeping it right.

Reading what people actually asked

Every week we read the questions your visitors asked and find the ones the assistant could not answer.

Filling the gaps

Each unanswered question becomes a written answer in your knowledge base, so the next person who asks it gets a real reply.

Keeping up with your site

When you add a service or change your hours, the assistant re-reads your site and stays current without you telling it to.

What it will not do

  • Quote a price it was not given. If your pricing is not on your site, it says so and offers a callback.
  • Pretend to be a person. Every conversation opens by saying it is an assistant, and a visitor can ask for a human at any point.
  • Answer questions about anything else. It talks about your business and steers back when a conversation wanders.
  • Cost more than you agreed. Each account has a monthly ceiling. At the ceiling it hands out your phone number instead of running up a bill.

What it costs

$500once, to set it up
$200per month, six-month minimum

Billed monthly, not up front. After the first six months it continues month to month. The monthly fee is the curation work — reading what visitors asked and fixing the answers — not a licence to use software.

Talk to us

Overmountain is run by a small team in western North Carolina, working with local trades and service businesses. Ask the assistant in the corner anything you would ask us — it knows what we charge and what setup involves — or leave your details with it and we will call you back.
